Alpha Climatic RF Wireless Modulating Boiler Controller 3.022143

The Alpha Climatic RF (part 3.022143) is the wireless version of Alpha's modulating remote control. It combines a multi-channel time and temperature programmer with a built-in room thermostat, and talks to the boiler over Alpha's BUS link through a receiver wired into the boiler. Under SAP it is classed as an Enhanced Load Compensator: it modulates and limits the boiler flow temperature according to the measured room temperature.

Fits these boilers: Alpha E-Tec NX combi boiler 28–33kW, Alpha E-Tec Plus NX combi boiler 28–38kW, Alpha Evoke NX combi boiler 28–33kW and Alpha E-Tec NXS system boiler 20–35kW. On the E-Tec NXS, Alpha specifies its three-way diverter valve kit (6.5500048) with this control.

Specification

Compatibility

Per Alpha, the RF version works with the current Alpha E-Tec NX, E-Tec Plus NX and Evoke NX combis and with older E-Tec, Evoke and InTec GS boilers. On system boilers (E-Tec NXS, E-Tec S) Alpha specifies the Alpha three-way diverter valve kit (6.5500048). Hot water programming applies only to an Alpha system boiler with the diverter kit or Alpha Flowsmart systems. For other boilers, check the boiler's installation manual before ordering.

Installation & compliance

Must be installed and commissioned by a competent heating engineer. The receiver connects to the boiler's low-voltage BUS terminals and must never be connected to the 230 V terminals. Mount the controller about 1.5 m above the floor, away from direct sun, heat sources, doors and windows.
