An in-line magnetic scale inhibitor from CalMag with 15mm compression connections. Fitted on the incoming cold main, it helps reduce limescale build-up in boilers, cylinders and other hot water appliances in hard water areas, without chemicals or a power supply.

Installation & compliance
Fit in the cold water feed to the appliance being protected, in line with the manufacturer's instructions and the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations. The Domestic Building Services Compliance Guide calls for scale reduction on the cold feed to combination boilers and water heaters where water hardness exceeds 200 ppm; also check the boiler manufacturer's own requirements.
