Inta Zero Anti-Freeze Valve 1" BSP Male x 1" Female Swivel (ZERO1SW)

The Inta Zero is a mechanical anti-freeze valve for air source heat pump flow and return pipework. If the water temperature at the valve falls to 3°C (for example during a power cut in freezing weather), it opens and discharges a small flow of water so the water in the outdoor pipework keeps moving and does not freeze. It closes again at 4°C. This version has a 1" BSP male thread on one end and a 1" BSP female swivel nut on the other, so it fits directly onto standard 1" heat pump connections.

Also available in 1 1/4" BSP male, 28mm and 35mm compression versions. One valve is normally fitted on each of the flow and return pipes at the heat pump, so most installs need two.

Installation and compliance

Fit outdoors, close to the heat pump, in the vertical position with the outlet facing downwards. Protect the valve from rain, snow and direct sunlight, and keep the system pressurised at all times, including while the valve is draining. Follow the heat pump manufacturer's instructions and the Inta installation and operation manual. Installation should be carried out by a competent heating engineer.
