Danfoss BFP Oil Burner Pumps: BFP 11 L3 and BFP 21 L3
Genuine Danfoss replacement fuel pumps for domestic pressure-jet oil burners running on kerosene or light oil. Both are size 3 (24 l/h) pumps with left-hand (anti-clockwise) rotation and a built-in solenoid cut-off valve, supplied with a 230V coil. Choose the model that matches the pump currently fitted to the burner.
- BFP 11 L3 (071N7141): Diamond Series pump with diamond-like carbon coating, bio-approved
- BFP 21 L3 (071N7156): BFP 21 pump suitable for kerosene, light oil and biofuel blends
- Pressure range 7 to 15 bar (BFP 11 size 3) / 7 to 20 bar (BFP 21), factory set to 10 bar
- Nozzle capacity 24 l/h at 10 bar, 4.3 cSt, 2800 rpm

Choosing the right pump
The model (BFP 11 or BFP 21), size and rotation are marked on the existing pump. BFP 11 and BFP 21 are different pumps, so replace like for like or follow the burner manufacturer's parts list. BFP 21 pumps have G1/4 suction and return connections and can be set up for one-pipe or two-pipe operation.
Installation and compliance
Oil burner pumps should be fitted by a competent, OFTEC-registered technician. Set the pump pressure to the burner manufacturer's figure and check combustion with a calibrated flue gas analyser after fitting.
