Choosing the right type
A reducer has a plain spigot on the larger end, which pushes into another push-fit fitting (for example a tee or elbow) to reduce that outlet. A reducing coupler has push-fit sockets at both ends and joins two pipes of different sizes directly.
Installation and compliance
Install to the manufacturer's instructions. Cut pipe square, deburr, and fit a JG Speedfit pipe insert when using plastic pipe. Mark the insertion depth and push the pipe fully home. Pressure test the system before use.
