Armacell ArmaLight Tubolit DG Polyethylene Pipe Insulation, 2m Lengths
Armacell Tubolit DG is grey, closed-cell polyethylene foam pipe insulation (lagging) from Armacell's ArmaLight range, supplied in 2 metre lengths, slit along its length so it pushes straight over installed copper or plastic pipe. We stock 13mm wall for general heating and hot and cold water pipework, and 19mm wall for heat pump primaries and runs where a thicker insulation layer is specified.

Is the 19mm wall the same product?
Yes. Armacell's UK Tubolit DG range is made in 9mm, 13mm, 19mm and 25mm walls from the same grey PE foam, covered by the same technical datasheet. The 19mm wall has the same thermal conductivity and the same C(L)-s1,d0 fire class as the 13mm; it simply gives a thicker insulation layer.

Options
Choose the size to match your pipe's outside diameter and the wall thickness you need. Insulation is supplied per 2 metre length; add the quantity of lengths you need to cover the run.
Installation and compliance
Push the insulation over the pipe through the slit, butt joints tightly together and seal joints, bends and the slit with insulation tape for the best result. Armacell recommends ArmaFlex 520 adhesive where joints are glued. Tubolit DG is designed for pipework inside the building; for outdoor runs, such as heat pump primaries, use a UV-protected external insulation like Primary Pro. Check the insulation thickness required by your heat pump manufacturer, MCS design or Building Regulations Part L for your application.
